Quicktime

Steve Squyres is the proud father of the twin Mars Exploration Rovers that have been exploring the red planet for more than 1200 days. The mission has lasted 13-times longer than expected, but Squyres still isn't ready to let go. In this ScienCentral Web Extra video, we profile Squyres' experiences with this mission.

In the video to the right, Squyres discusses his thoughts on the approaching end of the Rover mission, adjusting his schedule to the Martian clock, and his mission t-shirt superstitions.

For more information on his work, go to the ScienCentral News story "Mars Rover Survival."
