Especially if they have an extended family and/or teenagers around. Maybe a simple (but by no means easy) way to conserve is to not buy that one extra car. That will–by necessity–encourage less driving, combining trips, ride sharing, etc

Did you know that the earth has 5,000,000,000,000,000 of atmosphere. Thats 5 quadrillion (5,000 trillion tons). How much of a dent can we put in those numbers???

Hom much has the clearing of the rainforests contributed to the excess of C02? And has anything been done recently to combat that? We need those green scrubbers to give us oxygen and they have been depleted at an alarming rate when compared to the rate of global industrializtion. But no one wants to talk about that?

I don't know the stats, but I imagine many American families have two, three, or four cars in their driveway. Especially if they have an extended family and/or teenagers around. Maybe a simple (but by no means easy) way to conserve is to not buy that one extra car. That will–by necessity–encourage less driving, combining trips, ride sharing, etc. Or for that second or third car, choose an around-town electric vehicle that anyone in the family can utilize for short trips.
